The Vedic Village House Owners Cultural Association was formed nearly three years ago with the following main objectives:
1.To keep good relationships among all the members of the Association for their mutual interest and welfare
2.To take up and resolve problems of members and try to solve such problems through discussions, representations.
3.To provide help to members in case of sickness, accidents and death of a member
4.To improve the economic and social welfare of the villagers living around Vedic Village
From a humble beginning, the association is 140 members strong till date and still growing!
A Governing Body (GB), comprising of minimum 7 members, is elected every year by the members at the Annual General meeting with the mandate of running the association for one year.
The current GB has ten members, duly elected at the 2016 AGM, with Mr. Sudhir Khandelwal and Mr. Tapas Sen as President and Secretary respectively.
Currently the GB is primarily looking into three areas namely, i) Land Right related issues ii) Maintenance and security issues and iii) Social development in the neighbourhood.
For the first two items, we are continuously liaising with Vedic Reality. As a consequence there have been improvements in many aspects of Vedic Village. The GB has the confidence that with the active help of our members, all these issues, however intractable and complex they may be, will be resolved.
In the past we have undertaken various social development activities in the neighbourhood like blood donation camps, clothes and school kit distribution to the needy etc. In the current year we have sponsored an anti-dengue campaign in the neighbourhood and are planning to distribute blankets to needy local people during the pujas.
